Right now, many countries around the world are locked down in an effort to stem the spread of coronavirus, but the situation in Israel is unique. If you have ever been there, you know that Israel's economy is rooted in their rich, open social marketplace. Across Israel, they work together, shop together, play together, worship together, and celebrate together.
But in this lockdown environment, the loud, boisterous streets are silent. Their shops are closed. Families who would normally be giving generously to charity are now receiving charity. They are losing their businesses and homes. In addition, Israel is facing new waves of terrorist attacks, from bombings to crop burnings. And the people who suffer the most are the ones most in need of care: widows, orphans, and the poor. We oversee the care of tens of thousands of people in Israel who cannot care for themselves, but as the the need has increased dramatically this year as families see their income and their legacy drained away.
The future is growing very dark in Israel, so we need to bring LIGHT!
Fear and politics here in the United States have caused many people to forget about the needs outside our borders. Many relief organizations have slowed or stopped their outreaches to other nations due to COVID restrictions or a massive loss of donations. Some have closed their doors forever. Meanwhile, the poor are locked under their own nations' COVID guidelines, not knowing what is happening around them, wondering if food will ever come again.
At King's Ransom, we provide food and financial support to widows who have no way to provide for themselves (many of whom have children to raise):
We are working to raise $500,000 during 2021 to ensure that badly-needed food and supplies make it safely to the hands of families that need them. It sounds like a huge goal, but it's a huge need right now. And you'd be amazed at how quickly something like this comes together when lots of people do something.
First, Rabbi Natan will teach a 45-minute Torah lesson about Abraham and Sarah to everyone who activates their fundraiser by Friday, March 5, 2021. You won't want to miss as Rabbi Natan highlights the rich nuances of the original Hebrew language in the book of Genesis.
Then, the first 10 people to complete their $50,000 goal will get a private 45-minute call with Rabbi Natan, where he will answer your questions from his vast and deep knowledge of the Scriptures.
If you've never heard him teach, here's a quick sample:
Be sure to share this with everyone you know. Who knows? Israel has a way of capturing people's hearts. You may find yourself at the end of the year wanting to continue blessing our friends in Israel.
King's Ransom Foundation is unique. Our operational expenses are totally underwritten by a private corporate sponsor, so 100% of your gift goes directly to the poor. It's our promise to you.
When you designate your gift to Israel, all of it goes directly to Israel and our rabbi disperses it according to the mandates outlined by Moses thousands of years ago. You are literally walking in the Torah!

You're amazing.
Thank you for having the heart of compassion that serves people who may never be able to do anything for you in return. God promises to reward those who serve "the least of these": the poor, the widow, and the orphan. How much more does He notice when you reach all the way to Israel, the Apple of His Eye?
